'Its all be done before"

The music video that I will create does fit with the theory that some of it has been made before. For example the theme of expectation vs reality is a theme that features in everyday life. We all want a situation to turn out better than what really happens in reality. This theme also features in '500 days of summer' yet i shall make it original by changing the situation.

I do believe that post modernism exists in all media form and this is due to the fact that anything new that comes out either causes controversy or has been taken from previous work e.g...Lady Gaga's music has been a fusion between Madonna and old disco.

The Lady Gaga video: "Alejandro" features copied parts of some of Madonna's older videos in the 80's.

The use of the black and white in both videos and similar costume indicate the theory "Its all been done before."

I have had some initial ideas but these need to be finalized. I am using the concept of expectations vs reality and through this music video. I liked the idea of a girl waiting for her husband to arrive home, yet in reality he never does. Yet her expectations want him to come home. This idea will be adapted and worked on to make it fit with the music. The initial idea was taken from the film yet i don't want to completely copy this.

I have chosen to use this song because I really like the artist. Also this song doesn't have a video therefore I can use my own ideas and not copy and interpret the directors ideas.
